An adult man needs 8 milligrams of iron a day and for women it is18 milligrams of iron.




Besides, 27 milligrams of iron per day is required for pregnant women.

The deficiency of  iron  in the body make us feel weak and tired as well as our mood becomes irritable.

Generally, children and pregnant women suffer from  anemia due to the  deficiency of iron.


To meet the shortage of iron, it is necessary to take two kinds of iron-Animal iron and Vegetables iron.


Let's know the foods that is rich in iron or that contain Iron.
               

           1)    Liver

Liver is a rich source of iron.It also contains vitamins, minerals and proteins.There is a lot of iron in the liver of cow.Eggs and red meat can be eaten if you do not like to eat liver.

In  the half cup of egg yolk there is 3 milligrams of iron and 3 ounces red flesh has 2-3 milligrams of iron.

               2)     Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is good for body.It is a good source of iron and contains lots of anti-oxidants.

                 3)     Gram

There is 5 milligrams of iron in one cup of gram and it also contains standard  amount of proteins.Gram is the best food for vegetarians.

           4)    Pumpkin Seed

A cup of pumpkin has 2 milligrams of iron.Delicious pumpkin seeds can be eaten in different ways-for example,salads,doing boiled,frying etc.

          5)  Pulse like Foods

A good source of iron is pulses.A cup of pulses has 6 milligrams of iron and has a lot of fiber.It contains less cholesterol and keeps blood sugar levels stable.

                   6)   Spinach

A cup of cooked spinach has 6 milligrams of iron.Besides,it also contains protein, fiber, calcium, vitamins and vitamins.The nutrients of cooked spinach vegetables is absorbed easily by our body.

             7)       Boiled Potatoes
Cooked potatoes contain vitamin C, B vitamins, lots of potassium and  high amounts of iron.A boiled potato with peel contains 3 milligrams of iron.

 
             8)    Fish

Salmon, sardine, kutel fish have iron. Apart from this, omega-3 fatty acids contains in salmon fish. It reduces the risk of stroke and prevents blood clotting.


                  9)Soybean


Soybean is one of the main sources of iron.It aslo has protein, mineral and fiber. A cup of soybean fills a lot of daily needs.

                    10)Apple


Apples are good source of iron. There are also magnesium and vitamin C.An apple has  0 .30 milligrams of iron. It helps in the formation of hemoglobin.


                    11)Dates


Dates are good source of iron. There are also calcium, magnesium and vitamin B6 in dates. Dates have fiber. You can also keep it in daily diet.





There are also many more foods rich in iron. For example: nuts,tomatoes, peas, beans etc. It is not good to drink tea or coffee after eating iron-rich food.
